Flags (formerly referred to as Item Properties) can be assigned to items to alert users of special handling descriptions and instructions. Examples of Item Flags are Broken Binding, Too Fragile to Circulate, Valuable Art, and Wrapped. On retrieval and refile, the Item Flag will alert user as the item is added, and will display on the job and associated pick lists or packing slips. An Item Flag can also be set to prevent items from circulating.

Item Flags can be assigned to Items individually in the Storage Management module, or be assigned in mass by file upload in the Inventory Management module.
